Every month in this newsletter we proudly introduce an amazing nonprofit organization to our readers. However, we are departing a little from that tradition in order to highlight those special organizations whose leaders served as panelists at our Symposium.

This organization creates lasting solutions to the problems of hunger, homelessness and poverty by offering food, housing, work readiness, medical, social and educational services 365 days a year in a warm, safe and caring environment, free of charge, no questions asked.

In addition to serving more than 75,000 breakfasts and lunches and providing more than 500,000 pounds of food for guests to take home, they also nourish the souls and minds of their guests by offering support such as:

  • Housing assistance
  • Mental health and substance abuse counseling
  • Employment counseling
  • Outreach to veterans
  • Resource connection and assistance with benefits, such as food stamps and Medicaid
  • Free Farmer's Markets three times a week which provide fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy items and meat for guests to take home
  • Emergency assistance for food, clothing and basic necessities
