FBAR Filing Deadline Extended for Individuals with Signature Authority but No Financial Interest in Certain Accounts

The deadline to file a Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) has been extended by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) for individuals that have signature authority or other authority over, but no financial interest, in certain types of accounts.  The extended deadline for these individuals is April 15, 2023.  The deadline for all other individuals remains April 15, 2022.  See FinCEN Notice 2021-1 fore more information.
